Agonic Logic

In 1666, Leibniz introduced his attempt to take the dream of the ancients a step further.

To this end, he wrote the ‘Art of Combination’, in which his article on ‘the Mathematical Determination of Syllogistic Forms’ proclaimed that he would ‘not only show why there are only three direct figures’ but also asserted his ability to validate a set of propositions by ‘drawing the straight lines.’

Agonic logic draws four straight lines and creates a fourth direct figure.

Agonic means straight to the point; it is unaffected by any man-made dubious and spurious attempts to deviate its path towards truth and reality.

Accordingly, it exists in an independent intellectual world of that purity of reason made possible by its being based upon visible and tangible shapes of pure ratio combined with a logical language which understands the difference between essential and non-essential predicates, with the whole process being joined with those universally valid absolutes concerning those truths of reality that exist above and beyond the reach of humankind.

A wilful ignorance of the power of logic to hold humankind responsible for any actions that threaten existence itself can no longer be tolerated.
